This is me...
Hey, I’m Anita — I’ve loved photography for as long as I can remember.
Before settling in Tenerife, I spent nearly 20 years traveling the world as a diving instructor — always with a camera in hand, even underwater. I’ve never been drawn to polished perfection. What fills my heart is honesty, emotion, and real, unscripted moments.
After every trip, I’d rush to the photo lab and spend a small fortune developing my images. My poor nephew didn’t even recognize me without a camera in front of my face!
Over the years, that love turned into something deeper. I found my true passion in photographing people — not just faces, but feelings, connection, and story.
I shoot mostly outdoors, using natural light and the beautiful unpredictability of Tenerife — wind, waves, golden hours. I also love black-and-white photography for its timeless, distraction-free storytelling.
When I edit, I enhance the mood — not the person. Freckles, scars, moles — they stay. But if your cat gave you a scratch the day before, I’ll take care of it.
Pets & Soul Sessions
Thanks to my own chaotic, lovable dog Stella, I’ve completely fallen for pet photography.
Whether your pup sits still or sprints in circles, we’ll make it work — just as they are.
For our pets, we are their whole world. And when time together becomes precious, every cuddle, every familiar look and every little moment means just that little bit more.
My Soul Sessions are gentle, unhurried sessions for elderly or seriously ill pets, celebrating the love you share and the life you've built together. There's no pressure, no expectations — just time to be together, to capture the bond that words can never quite describe, and to create photographs you'll hold close to your heart long after the moment has passed.
Giving Back
Across Tenerife, there are so many animal shelters — big and small — and so many wonderful people working tirelessly to give abandoned animals a better life and help them find a loving home.I know first-hand how much a photograph can change things.
I met my own dog, Stella, thanks to an extremely funny photo of her online. It made me smile, caught my attention, and eventually brought her into my life. Who knows if our paths would ever have crossed without that picture?
That's why I photograph rescue dogs in Tenerife's shelters. Many of these dogs spend their days behind kennel bars, waiting for someone to notice them. A good photograph can show their personality, make someone stop scrolling and perhaps help them find their forever home.
If you know a shelter anywhere in Tenerife, no matter how big or small, please pass on my contact details. I'd love to help by photographing their animals, if my work can make a difference to their chances of being adopted.
And if you'd like to help, too, please share my rescue dog posts on Facebook or Instagram. Sometimes, the right photo just needs to reach the right person. 🐾
Choosing the Right Photographer — And Why It Matters
Choosing a photographer is about more than finding pictures you like. It's about finding someone whose work speaks to you, someone you feel comfortable with, and someone you can trust to capture something personal.
Look beyond the beautiful locations and perfect light. Look at the people in the photographs. Do they look relaxed? Do their expressions feel genuine? Can you imagine yourself feeling comfortable in front of that camera?
Don't be afraid to ask questions, either. Your session should feel right for you — from the first conversation to the moment you see your photographs.
The right photographer isn't necessarily the one with the fanciest equipment or the most impressive portfolio. It's the one whose style, approach and personality feel right for you.
I know how important that feeling of trust is because I've been on the other side of the camera myself. I don't even have wedding photos — for exactly that reason. So I understand how vulnerable it can feel to let someone capture something so personal. You might worry about how you'll look, what to do with your hands, or whether you'll feel comfortable at all.
I'm not here to turn you into someone you're not, or to create a perfect version of you. I'm here to help you feel comfortable enough to be yourself, so we can capture the real smiles, the little moments and the connections that make your story unique.
Because one day, when you look back at your photographs, I want you to remember more than how you looked. I want you to remember how you felt.
